  • Newsletter | Prince Albert Alliance Church

November Newsletter Prayer Requests Upcoming Events Merry November! During our October Elders Meeting we had Pastor Kirby from the New Life Fellowship Church (our sister church) join us from 6-7pm to give us an update on all the good things happening there: numbers and baptism are increasing, and they have enough members to officially become an Alliance Church – praise the Lord! They are seeking additional financial support from other Alliance churches as their support from New Ventures may be nearing the end; we continue to financially support them. We also had a time of prayer, praying for Pastor Kirby, New Life Fellowship church and our meeting. Our update: 1. We have been able to put off the replacement of our boiler for a couple of years (maybe more!) by flushing and replacing the fluid in our present boiler. We have been told for the age of our boiler (around 50 years) it is in good condition. As good stewards, we want to keep our boiler fund active as we anticipate this cost in the future. 2. We have purchased 300 chairs to replace our hazardous wooden chairs – probably as old as our church! Enjoy a better “sit” when we have our luncheons and use for other programming in our church. 3. We continue to work on our Governance policies. We have replaced the Plan to Protect (P2P) program with our Safety and Security Policy which encapsulates all the necessary protocols of the P2P but tailored to PAAC’s children/youth facility and needs. 4. As you’ve already read in the bulletin, Louise completed her contract in a temporary position serving as Director of Operations. We appreciated her help in allowing a smooth transition between our associate pastors – thank you! She has moved into a contract position as our Volunteer Coordinator which will ease the administrative workload on our pastors and staff as she will play a key role in streamlining/administrating the volunteer process. We have over 100 volunteers in our church! We have also hired Kelly Lamb on a contract basis as the Music Team Overseer where she will lead our music ministry and its dedicated volunteers under the oversight of Pastor Liam. 5. We started the yearly process of reviewing our membership list and contacting those members who have not been a part of our church family over the past year or so. This is always a worthwhile point of connection. 6. We are looking forward to “Equipping” times in our church as we seek to fulfill one aspect of our strategic plan which states: "Coordinating focused material and lessons in our ministry programming that will help us be more confident in sharing the gospel and starting conversations."; These equipping opportunities will take place during the Sunday School hour (9:30 – 10:30am) on November 23, November 30 and January 11. The details are as follows: There will be two interactive sessions for adults led by Denise Hodgman on cross cultural evangelism along with practical ways to develop relationships that lead to meaningful conversations. These sessions will take place during the Sunday School hour November 23 and 30. The January 11 Sunday School hour will be led by Adam Driscoll (EFC Canada) and his presentation will be on Next Gen Faith - What drives faith in teens and young adults and the home? What obstacles do we need to be aware of? On January 9-11 Adam Driscoll will also be leading us in a weekend of evangelism equipping. Friday night January 9, he will lead us in our PAAC monthly corporate prayer meeting at 6:30 – 8:00pm. Childcare will be available. Saturday, January 10, there will be 4 sessions plus lunch. Childcare will be available. Adam Driscoll will also be preaching on Sunday, January 11. Please stay tuned for more details regarding this exciting weekend that we pray will be profitable for you and our entire PAAC family. As we have the 2025 year-end in sight, we are thankful for God’s leading, direction and unity as we meet as an Elder’s Board. Our November meeting is Nov 19. Thank you in advance for your prayers and support. In His Service, Sharon Ardell, Board Chair BOARD UPDATE PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for the “Equipping” times in our church, for those who are presenting (Denise Hodgman in November and Adam Driscoll in January) and for those who will be attending. Please pray that we would have many in attendance as God instills in us our need and the urgency to “make Him known”. Please pray for the Board of Elders as we review the job description for a new pastor to replace Pastor Agneshia when she leaves in June or July 2026. May God already be preparing that person to hear about our need and be able to orchestrate a seamless transition as He did with Pastor Nathan leaving and Pastor Liam coming. Please pray for Louise and Kelly as they assume new roles within our church. Continue to pray for all levels of government: our civic leaders, provincial leaders, and federal leaders. Continue to pray for the youth in our church and in our community. There are so many voices shouting for their attention, trying to influence them to follow ideologies that don’t align with Biblical truth. Pray for parents who seek to teach Godly truth and values in their homes. Pray for the marriages in our church and community that God would work in each heart so marriages will be strong and united. Pray for our young adults as they gather and grow and seek to reach their places of influence with God’s love. Pray for our pastors: Mark, Liam and Agneshia as they serve and balance work, ministry, and family. Pray for each other: for those in your “mini church” (those who you sit with and around in church), and those in your community group that God would be stirring our hearts in obedience to Him and give us the will to follow as He leads. Pray that you would be stewarding your gifts and talents well for His glory. Pray for those who are grieving, who are suffering physical and/or emotional pain, for those who are sick, for those who are caregiving. . . May they know God’s presence, comfort, peace and healing touch. Pray for our seniors as their lives are changing and transitioning. May God show each of us, as we pray, how we can better care for our seniors, so they feel valued and loved by us. Pray for the Alpha course which will begin in January. May God lead us in inviting those in our community to attend. May God also lead those who need to beinvolved to step forward. FOLLOW US Facebook / Instagram / Website / Church App

  • Statement of Faith | Prince Albert Alliance Church

Statement Of Faith Who We Are ALLIANCE CANADA STATEMENT OF FAITH 1) God There is one God, 1 who is infinitely perfect, 2 existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3 2) Jesus Jesus Christ is true God and true man. 4 He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. 5 He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. 6 He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. 7 He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace. 8 3) Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, sent to indwell, 9 guide, teach and empower the believer, and to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. 10 4) Bible The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of people. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. 11 5) Sin Humankind, originally created in the image and likeness of God, 12 fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All people are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. 13 The destiny of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment, but that of the believer is everlasting joy and bliss. 14 6) Freedom From Sin Salvation has been provided only through Jesus Christ. Those who repent and believe in Him are united with Christ through the Holy Spirit and are thereby regenerated (born again), justified, sanctified and granted the gift of eternal life as adopted children of God. 15 7) Christian Living It is the will of God that in union with Christ each believer should be sanctified thoroughly 16 thereby being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to God, receiving power for holy living and sacrificial and effective service toward the completion of Christ's commission. 17 This is accomplished through being filled with the Holy Spirit which is both a distinct event and progressive experience in the life of the believer. 18 8) Healing Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil as taught in the Scriptures are privileges for the Church in this present age. 19 9) Church The universal Church, of which Christ is the Head, consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and commissioned by Christ to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations. 20 The local church, the visible expression of the universal Church, is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together to worship God, to observe the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, to pray, to be edified through the Word of God, to fellowship, and to testify in word and deed to the good news of salvation both locally and globally. The local church enters into relationships with other like-minded churches for accountability, encouragement and mission. 21 10) Life after Death There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; 22 for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. 23 11) Second Coming of Christ The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal and visible. 24 As the believer’s blessed hope, this vital truth is an incentive for holy living and sacrificial service toward the completion of Christ's commission. 25 14.
