- Newsletter | Prince Albert Alliance Church
December Newsletter Prayer Requests Upcoming Events Dec 1, 2025 Elder’s Update As I write this, I look outside and see a winter wonderland with brilliant snow, hoar frosted trees, and clear blue sky with the warmth of the sun shining. Does it get any better than this? We had our Elder’s meeting on November 19. Some highlights: Prayer - we started with a devotional and prayer time, prayed as we went through the agenda and prayed as we ended. We are continually reminded that this is God’s church and His work. We need continual guidance and wisdom from our Father as we go about His business. We were so thankful for the tremendous 60th anniversary celebration we had on Nov 16. Thank you to all who were involved from those who decorated, to those leading the music, to those on the panel – a highlight to hear the ministry memories! We need to extend a BIG thank you to the childcare workers who had a longer morning with the kids. Your ministry to our children does not go unnoticed. And another BIG thank you to Rob and Fern Fischer and their kitchen crew for the many hours of preparation, serving and clean up. Your efforts on our behalf are appreciated. And to Ralph for setting up and getting all the new chairs ordered and in place for the celebration meal. As Pastor Liam preached, it takes the whole body using their gifts to make the church function well and as a result, we all benefit. If you are not a part of a ministry in the church, may I encourage you to get involved. You will sense greater community as you serve! We had ministry updates from many of our ministry areas in the church along with our pastoral updates. We have a very active church with a heart for people. Thank you to all who are involved and making a difference in their area of service. We continue to be thankful for the giving of those who attend. Ron Poetker, our treasurer, will give a bulletin and verbal update in December. Our Christmas Eve love offering will be split between Rose Garden Hospice and the ministries of the Salvation Army. We are grateful for both these local ministries that help with the vulnerable in our city. We are specifically in need of someone to lead a community group for young families. Please contact Pastor Liam if God is moving you to lead/host in this way. We have written and passed the job description for an Associate Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries which was sent out at the end of November. Pastor Agneshia will continue to service as our Pastor of Family Life Ministries until June or July of 2026. In His Service, Sharon Ardell, Board Chair BOARD UPDATE PRAYER REQUESTS As we are beginning the advent season, may the themes of the four advent Sundays - Hope, Peace, Joy, Love – be God’s gifts to you this season. Let us pray that our lives will be marked by these words as we go through this month and into the New Year. Those who find this season difficult whether it be because of losing a loved one, a broken relationship, estrangement from a family member or friend, geography, disappointment, failure . . .so many reasons people find December difficult. Let us remember to pray and ask God how we can encourage others in our prayers and service during this season. Our missionaries who are away from their extended families during this season. Our church programming/activities – that all we do would be purposeful in sharing the gospel and living out that gospel as we serve. Continue to pray for the children/youth in our church and in our community. There are so many voices shouting for their attention, trying to influence them to follow ideologies that don’t align with Biblical truth. Pray also for those young adults coming “home” for the holidays to be with family and friends in Prince Albert. May their time at home encourage them in their faith walk and be the break they need. Pray for our pastors as they balance personal and work life and ministry life. May they know the “joy of the LORD” in this season. Please pray for the December Sunday morning services: The Season to Start. . . with Peace - our Children’s program on Dec 7; The Season to Start . . . with Joy on Dec 14; The Season to Start. . . with Love on Dec 21; Christmas Eve on the 24th and Sunday morning on Dec 28. It seems that December brings many out who do not attend through the year. Please pray for their hearts – and ours- to be open to the voice of God during this season. Please be in prayer for the nominating committee which will be meeting in Dec to put forth names for eldership for our AGM in March. Please be in prayer for our Evangelistic Workshop Jan 9 /10 with Adam Driscoll, that God would grow in us the desire and urgency to share our faith realizing we have the Good News that our community so desperately needs. Pray for our leaders in our city and Prov/Federal Government. We are commanded to pray for our leaders (1 Tim 2:1-4): “I urge , then, first of all , that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. “ FOLLOW US Facebook / Instagram / Website / Church App

Who We Are FAQ Statement Of Faith We are glad you are here! A quick welcome from Pastor Mark: Take your Next Step! Why We Exist We weren't meant to be an island in our faith. God is relational (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), and He has always existed in community. In the same way, He has designed us for community with Him and one another as we walk through life. As a community of people our desire is to know God: God the Father who personally welcomes us, through Jesus Christ, into His presence; God the Son - Jesus - the Living Word and objective truth behind all reality; God the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live a life for Him free from sin and fear. As we KNOW GOD together, we ultimately want to MAKE GOD KNOWN, in our city, and in our world. How We Accomplish Our Mission Prayer Talking, listening, and responding to God as a way of life. Serving Serving within the church in order to build up and encourage the body of Christ. Discipleship An active process of understanding Biblical foundational truths through personal and group study for one's understanding and growth in the gospel. Not to worry though, we also have lots of street parking as well as free parking at the strip mall lot across the street. In addition to this, we have reserved parking spaces for those with limited mobility by our main entrance on the North side of the building. We believe worship serves as a way to connect with God, express gratitude, and seek spiritual growth. You’ll find that we sing a mix of contemporary worship songs as well as hymns.
