- Mission & Vision | Prince Albert Alliance Church
Mission & Vision Who We Are Statement Of Faith Our Mission We are a community of people growing together in knowing God and making Him known. Ephesians 4:15-16, John 17: 26 We must not assume we can be an island in our faith. God is a relational God: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He has always existed in community. God desires us to join His community (John 17). Community encourages us and keeps us accountable as we walk through life together and as a result, personal growth in character and faith is fostered. Our purpose in growing together is to develop a spirit of self-sacrifice that is committed to the well-being of the other (1 Corinthians 13), whoever the other may be. We can only do this as we grow in knowing God: God the Father who personally welcomes us, through Jesus Christ, into His presence; God the Son – Jesus – the Living Word (John 1) and objective truth behind all reality; God the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live a life free from the bondages of sin and fear (Colossians 1:21, 22). As we live in community with God and others, we grow in our desire to make Him known, reaching beyond our walls and into the greater community. To see lives transformed through Jesus Christ in our church and community. - Romans 12:2 Our Vision Core Values We are committed to the following: 1. The Glory of the Triune God We love him wholeheartedly, worship him sincerely and seek passionately to complete the work he has given us to do. 2. The Authority of the Bible We adhere to our doctrinal statement as a summary of key truths from the Bible that we agree on as a family of churches. We affirm the ministries of preaching and teaching in order to understand, obey and apply the Bible to our faith and practice. 3. Christ-centered Living We lead believers into the fullness of the Spirit and faith in the all-sufficient Christ for healing and power to live holy lives of service. 4. The Church We love the Church universal and seek to plant and nurture healthy, transformational local churches as the means of building Christ’s kingdom and nurturing individual Christians. We minister on the basis of spiritual giftedness as essential to divine power and effectiveness. We encourage dynamic creativity resulting in diverse congregational composition, language and organizational structures in order to fulfill Christ’s desire to reach all people. 5. Lost People We allocate a disproportionately large amount of energy and resources to reaching lost people, discipling them to maturity in, and devotion to, Christ. 6. Missions We give priority to world evangelization. We give priority in our missionary activity to evangelizing those people who have had the least opportunity to hear the gospel, thus expediting the return of Christ. 7. Leadership We intentionally identify and train godly leaders. We affirm and empower our pastors; other credentialed workers and lay leaders, esteeming them highly in the Lord. 8. Strategic Cooperation We serve each other with humility and compassion. We create strategies, structures and policies that enhance local initiative and maximize cooperation in the accomplishment of our purpose. We develop strategic partnerships with those of like-minded message, mission, passion and purpose. 9. Social Responsibility We uphold Biblical justice. We minister to the poor and oppressed as ministry to Jesus himself We encourage and strengthen marriages and families. 10. Stewardship We view all our resources and possessions as God-owned and we use them with integrity, accountability and maximum effectiveness. We embrace faithfulness and sacrifice in the advance of Christ’s kingdom. 11. Prayer We do nothing until we pray.

March Newsletter Prayer Requests Upcoming Events Dear Church Family, Our February meeting was a budget meeting so there is not much to report except that we had a good meeting and are grateful that our church is blessed in how we give so we can give, not only of our finances but of our time and giftings as well. We look forward to our AGM meeting on March 15 where the reports will be presented as well as the budget. This is my last update as March 15 will end my four years as an elder of this church. As I said in my board report, I want to thank each member and congregant who has been supportive and encouraging of our leadership team and myself as the chair. Your prayers on our behalf and words of encouragement carried us many times. Above all, I want to thank God who calls and equips, listens attentively, responds graciously, loves abundantly and forgives constantly. To Him be honor and glory through the Prince Albert Alliance Church. In His Service, Sharon Ardell, Board Chair BOARD UPDATE PRAYER REQUESTS Please take the time to pray for our civic leaders, our provincial leaders and federal leaders. We have no idea how God is at work in the hearts of our leaders and what our prayers will accomplish! Don’t miss this opportunity to a part of the solution to the difficulties we are facing on so many fronts. (1 Tim. 2:1-6) The continued conflicts globally. There are individuals on both sides of these conflicts that are our brothers and sisters in Christ. Those who are grieving and for those who are attending Grief Share. For those who struggle with mental unwellness and loneliness. There are so many contributing factors – pray God will lead you in your prayers for specific people in our congregation and community who struggle in these areas, and may God show you how you can reach out to them. Those who are sick physically. Let us pray for their healing, their comfort and encouragement. Alpha – connections are being made, and a sense of community has been fostered. Great conversations about God are happening. Pray these conversations will translate into hearts receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord. Our pastors: Mark, Agneshia and Liam. They wear many hats and have servant hearts. Pray God would equip them and encourage them in their callings. For our job posting for Pastor Agneshia’s position. May we wait patiently as we pray. As resumes are received, may the Elders have discernment and clarity in how to walk forward. For our front staff - Carla and Trisha - for Ralph our custodian, for Sandra our Facility Coordinator, for Amy our bookkeeper, for Kelly our Worship Coordinator and for Louise our Volunteer Coordinator. We could not function as a church without them providing support behind the scenes. The many ministries that meet here weekly and monthly – may God be glorified in our times together in how we treat each other, speak to each other and care for each other. For our AGM on March 15 th as we discuss church business and vote on elder nominations. And as we pray, let’s remember Phil 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (NIV) FOLLOW US Facebook / Instagram / Website / Church App
