It’s about finding your place, using your gifts, and watching how God uses you to change lives. Mom’s Morning Out (MMO) When: Tuesdays from 9:30-11:00am (Subs also welcome) Role: Create a joyful environment for little ones (ages 0–6) through play, snack, and story time. Impact: You aren't just babysitting; you are providing a vital "breather" for moms to recharge and find community, knowing their kids are in safe hands. Vacation Bible School (VBS) When: One week in July from 9:00am-12:00pm (dates TBA in early April) Role: Lead a small group of kids through a full morning of music, games, crafts, and Bible stories. Impact: You are the face of God’s love for these kids. By showing up with a smile, you help transform a fun week into a lifelong foundation of faith. Kids Church (lesson leader & helper) When: Sunday mornings during the service (on a four-week rotation) Role: Lead a simple lesson (if leader), oversee the classroom flow, support the leader with activities, and ensure every child is safe, engaged, and included. Impact: By teaching God’s Word in a way kids can understand, you help them build a personal relationship with Jesus. You aren’t just "teaching a class". You are shaping the next generation of the Church. Communion Prep When: First Sunday of the month (before/after the service) Role: Preparing for and cleaning up after Communion Impact: This meaningful "behind-the-scenes" service allows our pastors to focus on ministry and invites the congregation to participate fully. Library When: Flexible Role: Reshelve books, tidy, and circulate material Impact: Our library is a great resource to get great Christian resources and material into the hands of our congregation. You could make this readily possible. Sunday Lock Up When: Sunday mornings after the service (could be done on rotation) Role: Conduct a final walkthrough and ensure the building is secure once the building is empty. Impact: By handling the "close-out" details, you allow others to linger and visit without a rush, ensuring our church home stays safe and sound. Usher/Greeter When: Sunday mornings (on a four-week rotation) Role: Stationed at the entrances to offer a warm smile and handshake, you are the first face a visitor sees. Impact: You set the tone for the entire morning. Your warmth can lower the anxiety of a first-time guest and make a regular member feel truly seen and loved. Peter’s Pantry When: Flexible schedule to fit your week. Role: Shop for groceries and assemble hampers. Impact: Be the hands and feet of our outreach program, which provides essential nutrition to an average of 30 local families every single month. Audio Tech When: Sunday mornings (on a four-week rotation) Role: Serve in the tech booth to manage either the audio of our service. You’ll oversee microphone levels, balance the worship band, and ensure the livestream audio is clear for those joining us from home. Impact: You are the bridge between the message and the listener, you are creating a space where the congregation can pray, sing, and hear God’s Word with clarity. You aren't just "running a board"; you are ensuring the Gospel is heard by everyone in the room. • Mission & Vision | Prince Albert Alliance Church

Mission & Vision Who We Are Statement Of Faith Our Mission We are a community of people growing together in knowing God and making Him known. Ephesians 4:15-16, John 17: 26 We must not assume we can be an island in our faith. God is a relational God: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He has always existed in community. God desires us to join His community (John 17). Community encourages us and keeps us accountable as we walk through life together and as a result, personal growth in character and faith is fostered. Our purpose in growing together is to develop a spirit of self-sacrifice that is committed to the well-being of the other (1 Corinthians 13), whoever the other may be. We can only do this as we grow in knowing God: God the Father who personally welcomes us, through Jesus Christ, into His presence; God the Son – Jesus – the Living Word (John 1) and objective truth behind all reality; God the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live a life free from the bondages of sin and fear (Colossians 1:21, 22). As we live in community with God and others, we grow in our desire to make Him known, reaching beyond our walls and into the greater community. To see lives transformed through Jesus Christ in our church and community. - Romans 12:2 Our Vision Core Values We are committed to the following: 1. The Glory of the Triune God We love him wholeheartedly, worship him sincerely and seek passionately to complete the work he has given us to do. 2. The Authority of the Bible We adhere to our doctrinal statement as a summary of key truths from the Bible that we agree on as a family of churches. We affirm the ministries of preaching and teaching in order to understand, obey and apply the Bible to our faith and practice. 3. Christ-centered Living We lead believers into the fullness of the Spirit and faith in the all-sufficient Christ for healing and power to live holy lives of service. 4. The Church We love the Church universal and seek to plant and nurture healthy, transformational local churches as the means of building Christ’s kingdom and nurturing individual Christians. We minister on the basis of spiritual giftedness as essential to divine power and effectiveness. We encourage dynamic creativity resulting in diverse congregational composition, language and organizational structures in order to fulfill Christ’s desire to reach all people. 5. Lost People We allocate a disproportionately large amount of energy and resources to reaching lost people, discipling them to maturity in, and devotion to, Christ. 6. Missions We give priority to world evangelization. We give priority in our missionary activity to evangelizing those people who have had the least opportunity to hear the gospel, thus expediting the return of Christ. 7. Leadership We intentionally identify and train godly leaders. We affirm and empower our pastors; other credentialed workers and lay leaders, esteeming them highly in the Lord. 8. Strategic Cooperation We serve each other with humility and compassion. We create strategies, structures and policies that enhance local initiative and maximize cooperation in the accomplishment of our purpose. We develop strategic partnerships with those of like-minded message, mission, passion and purpose. 9. Social Responsibility We uphold Biblical justice. We minister to the poor and oppressed as ministry to Jesus himself We encourage and strengthen marriages and families. 10. Stewardship We view all our resources and possessions as God-owned and we use them with integrity, accountability and maximum effectiveness. We embrace faithfulness and sacrifice in the advance of Christ’s kingdom. 11. Prayer We do nothing until we pray.

  • Newsletter | Prince Albert Alliance Church

May Newsletter Prayer Requests Upcoming Events Dear Church Family: - April was a busy month with a lot of time taken up in the continuing search for a new Youth and Family Pastor. The process culminated with Aidan and Tina Ross visiting PAAC from April 15-19, where they met our existing youth volunteers, families of youth, the elders board and the existing pastoral team. It was a busy few days for all involved. - Pastor Mark and the elders board extended an offer of employment to Aidan Ross on April 24, which he accepted. We look forward to him and his wife’s arrival in early June. - The Elders had a day of education given by Ned Benner from Power to Change. The emphasis was on board functioning, communication, and leadership development. It was an excellent time of learning, discussion, and growth. - As always, the Sunday meal was a great opportunity to connect and build community, however this one had the additional benefit of Chris Throness presenting vision for new leaders in the Alliance family of churches. This is an ongoing project, so evaluation and results will be presented in the future. In conclusion I want to remind you of Ephesian 6:10 (AMP) In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him]and in the power of His [boundless] might. BOARD UPDATE PRAYER REQUESTS - Many in our church family are grieving due to losses of family, friends, as well as a loss in health due to sickness, and accidents. Pray that God would uphold them and comfort them and that we as a church family can come along side them and be the hands and feet of Christ during these times. - Prayer for Aidan and Tina as they search for accommodations and move to PA from Calgary. - Praise that Mom’s Morning Out Sale went ahead during another April storm. Thanks to all who pitched in to make it happen. - Pray for the staff, Carla, Trisha and Ralph and their families as they work to keep the ministries of PAAC moving forward. - Pastor Mark, Sandra and Pastor Liam are currently in the UK attending a leadership and Alpha conference. Pray for them as they learn and study for these 10 days, and then as they travel home. - Prayer for Pastor Agneshia as she manages the pastoral duties on her own for the next few weeks, while still continuing to provide leadership and direction to the Children’s ministries. - As always, I encourage you to pray, that all that are part of our church community would continue to hear and respond to the promptings of God as they live life in and around PA. That each of us would use the talents, insights and gifts we have been given to share Christ in our actions, time and our words.
