- The fall programming is in full swing at PAAC, with the staff and our full
complement of pastors really ramping up programing and opportunities. We
are excited to see everyone back after a great summer. Hopefully it was a
time of rest and enjoyment as you spent time with family, and friends both
home and away.

- On Sunday October 4 at our regular monthly prayer meeting Pastor Liam
baptised two young men as part of the praise and prayer evening. What an
exciting moment to hear their testimonies and see give their lives to Christ.
Please pray for these new converts and others that are on a similar journey
of faith.

- The board is working to simplify and streamline the volunteer application
process as there have been some concerns from you that it is a bit
onerous. One of the challenges is balancing protection and security of our
children and participants with an open and informed access to all who
desire to give of their time and energies at the church. We hope to have
some changes in place by November.

- The Wally Hwelka scholarship award of $500 was given to Owen Wilson as
he returns to Millar College of the Bible for his 3rd year. Congratulations
Owen!

- The maintenance and care of the PAAC facilities is part of our ongoing
discussion at the Board. Projects in the works are, finishing a significant
maintenance of our boiler and heating system, finished construction of
toddler room improvements, planning and construction of new outdoor front
step railings and back steps, as well as early discussions with the city and
contractors to restore the back parking lot and improve drainage. Thank
you to Ralph and his team as they work through these areas.

- The month of October in the Alliance has a focus on our international
missionaries with introduction of new missionaries to our denomination and
a fund-raising campaign with the Jaffary Offering. Please be in prayer as
we look to support them all, both within Canada and beyond.
