Our Team Lead Pastor Mark Bergen Mark began his ministry at PAAC in September of 2010 after he and his wife, Sandra, moved to Prince Albert from Estevan. Mark was raised in a small community in southwest Saskatchewan called Leader. Sandra grew up in Southeast Saskatchewan on a farm in the Estevan area and they met in the middle at Bible College in Regina and have been in pastoral ministry since the early 90s. Mark enjoys the journey of being a lifelong learner in areas of preaching and teaching God’s word, and leadership. His greatest joy is seeing lives transformed by the Word of God and seeing others discover their life purpose in community. He has a servant heart to provide direction, care, and leadership to PAAC. Mark and Sandra love to travel and take road trips together. Some of Mark’s favourite activities are hiking, jogging, cross country skiing, camping, and fishing. Associate Pastor Liam Cowman Liam came to PAAC in 2025 after moving from Alberta. Liam and his wife Rhiannon met at Briercrest College and have one child. Liam organizes community groups and the worship ministry. He loves learning about spiritual formation and enjoys teaching others how to practice their faith. He is committed to leading others to live into the fullness of Jesus in every part of their life. Pastor of Family Life Agneshia Dixon Agneshia joined PAAC as Pastor of Family Life in September 2023, moving from South Africa where she was involved with Kid's Ministry for 10 years. She and her husband, Daniel, have been married since 2011 and have 3 children. Agneshia oversees all things Children and Youth at PAAC. In her free time, she enjoys running and being outdoors, and has recently proclaimed herself a plant person. Office Administrator Carla Olsen Carla started in the front office in October 2021. Prior to that she worked as an Educational Associate in elementary schools and tutoring English as an Additional Language. Carla speaks Spanish and has served in both Mexico and Thailand as a missionary. After returning to Canada, Carla joined the Young Adults group at PAAC where she met her husband, Donovan, and they were married in 2013. Carla enjoys learning about languages and cultures, doing crafts, and gardening! Office Administrator Trisha Poetker Trisha grew up on a farm outside of Endeavour, Sk. While attending Nipawin Bible College she met her husband and they married in June 2018, later welcoming their 2 children into the family. She began working at PAAC sometime in 2018 filling in as Office Administrator when the need arose, so when the job became available in Feb of 2019 she knew it was something she wanted to do. She began working at PAAC March 2019. Trisha most enjoys chatting with those that come into the office and getting to make things look nice and creating things to make PACC run efficiently. With two young kids, hobbies seem like a thing of the past but Trisha has found a liking for decorating cakes, which has/will come in handy for all the upcoming birthdays. Custodian & Maintenance Ralph Dyck Ralph grew up on a farm in Glenbush, SK, and first moved to Prince Albert in 1992, following three years of Bible college, to begin serving in Northern Canada Evangelical Mission’s printshop. While in PA, Ralph met his wife, Brenda, and together they raised two daughters. Family considerations were key in choosing to attend PAAC in 2012, and since then, Ralph & Brenda have found various ways to be involved in the ministry of this church. Ralph joined the PAAC Staff as custodian in December 2022 and still volunteers some time in NCEM’s printshop, where he served for 30 years. - Newsletter | Prince Albert Alliance Church
October Newsletter Prayer Requests Upcoming Events Oct 1, 2025 It has been a busy Fall start up in many ways. So good to see new volunteers plugging in and returning volunteers – thank you! It is also great to have Pastor Liam “plugged” into his role as our Associate Pastor. We are thankful for all our Pastors and for the giftings each bring to their area of ministry. If God is nudging you to get involved, please do not ignore. Volunteering is a great growth opportunity for yourself and a way to impact others. We had a very full meeting on Sept 16; thank you for praying for us. A highlight: We have asked Adam Driscoll, EFC representative for Saskatchewan and Board chair for EFC, to put on an Evangelism workshop starting on Friday evening, Jan 9 and the morning and afternoon of Jan10th. Adam will also be a part of our church service on the 11th. This will be a great way to kick off 2026 as we focus our heart attitude towards evangelism and the tools we need to give us courage and encouragement to share the gospel. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. This will be something that will be accessible for those with younger families as well. Stay tuned for details! We always seem to have governance policies to revisit and revise as we look to making each policy achievable, relevant and clearly written. We confirmed the 60th anniversary of the church will be on Sunday, November 16. We are looking forward to a great Sunday learning about some of our history and how we are a part of a great legacy. May this celebration Sunday encourage us as we look ahead to what God has for us in this 7th decade of ministry. And, as always, there is discussion on the everyday of running the church, stewarding the tithes and gifts given by our congregants – thank you for your generous giving! – and making time to pray for our church and the decisions we are asked to make. In His Service, Sharon Ardell, Board Chair BOARD UPDATE PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for those students who are away at school as they are settling into routines. Continue to pray that they will find Christian community and be growing in their faith. Please pray for the many people new to our church. Pray our church – each of us individually – will welcome a newcomer into our circle and include them in our every day. Pray for those who struggle with loneliness: perhaps they are entering a new normal with the loss of a loved one or as their loved one struggles with illness and can’t be the companion they once were; perhaps they are away from family and in new surroundings; perhaps they are going through difficulties in a relationship and find themselves alone. And as we pray, may we be open to being the answer to someone’s loneliness. Please pray for those who are sick among us. Pray God’s comfort, peace and the sense of His presence in their time of need. Pray also if there is a care giver involved, that they will be strengthened and encouraged. Pray for those who are going through a difficult time relationally be it with a spouse, a child, a parent, a sibling, a friend or colleague. God cares about our horizontal relationships. Please pray for the many programs that have started up from Sunday School to Grief Share, to Wed night Youth to Awana to Mom’s Morning Out to Pickleball and Exercise Classes to the Men’s morning Bible study and Saturday breakfast, to Community Groups to Peter’s Pantry and the list goes on. . . pray specifically for the area you are involved in. May God use these programs to help us “grow together in knowing God and making Him known”. Please pray for our Evangelistic Workshop Jan 9/10 and for Adam Driscoll who will be leading it. Please pray that those who attend PAAC will make this a priority as we begin 2026 and that we will be encouraged and equipped in sharing our faith. Please pray for EFC as they support Bill C-218, a private members bill that is against offering MAID for the mentally ill. May God move us to do our part in speaking up for the vulnerable. - Who We Are | Prince Albert Alliance Church
Who We Are FAQ Statement Of Faith We are glad you are here! A quick welcome from Pastor Mark: Take your Next Step! Why We Exist We weren't meant to be an island in our faith. God is relational (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), and He has always existed in community. In the same way, He has designed us for community with Him and one another as we walk through life. As a community of people our desire is to know God: God the Father who personally welcomes us, through Jesus Christ, into His presence; God the Son - Jesus - the Living Word and objective truth behind all reality; God the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live a life for Him free from sin and fear. As we KNOW GOD together, we ultimately want to MAKE GOD KNOWN, in our city, and in our world. How We Accomplish Our Mission Prayer Talking, listening, and responding to God as a way of life. Serving Serving within the church in order to build up and encourage the body of Christ. Discipleship An active process of understanding Biblical foundational truths through personal and group study for one's understanding and growth in the gospel. Reaching Reaching out with the gospel to those who have not yet heard or believed in Christ. Connecting Being in relationship with others in the church and broader community. Worship An attitude that honours God in all we think, say, and do. Our Mission & Vision What time is your service? Where are you located? Where do I park? What door do I use? What should I wear? What is the music like? What are your core values? How do I connect? We are committed to: the Glory of the Triune God, the Authority of the Bible, Christ-centered Living, the Church, Lost People, Missions, Leadership, Strategic Cooperation, Social Responsibility, Stewardship, and Prayer. Read More Come as you are! Like most families, our church family has formal people and people who are informal. So whether you are wearing a suit or dress, or flip flops and shorts, you will likely find lots of people dressed just like you. We have parking in our main lot, but at times it can get fairly full! Not to worry though, we also have lots of street parking as well as free parking at the strip mall lot across the street. In addition to this, we have reserved parking spaces for those with limited mobility by our main entrance on the North side of the building. We believe worship serves as a way to connect with God, express gratitude, and seek spiritual growth. You’ll find that we sing a mix of contemporary worship songs as well as hymns. We believe that God is worthy of all honour and praise - so we worship passionately! At PAAC there are variety of ways to get connected; from Community Groups, ministry events, and more. Fill out a connect card or contact the office below and we can help you get connected! Connect With Us We would love for you to join us for a service. Join us each Sunday.
