December Newsletter Prayer Requests Upcoming Events Dec 1, 2025 Elder’s Update As I write this, I look outside and see a winter wonderland with brilliant snow, hoar frosted trees, and clear blue sky with the warmth of the sun shining. Does it get any better than this? We had our Elder’s meeting on November 19. Some highlights: Prayer - we started with a devotional and prayer time, prayed as we went through the agenda and prayed as we ended. We are continually reminded that this is God’s church and His work. We need continual guidance and wisdom from our Father as we go about His business. We were so thankful for the tremendous 60th anniversary celebration we had on Nov 16. Thank you to all who were involved from those who decorated, to those leading the music, to those on the panel – a highlight to hear the ministry memories! We need to extend a BIG thank you to the childcare workers who had a longer morning with the kids. Your ministry to our children does not go unnoticed. And another BIG thank you to Rob and Fern Fischer and their kitchen crew for the many hours of preparation, serving and clean up. Your efforts on our behalf are appreciated. And to Ralph for setting up and getting all the new chairs ordered and in place for the celebration meal. As Pastor Liam preached, it takes the whole body using their gifts to make the church function well and as a result, we all benefit. If you are not a part of a ministry in the church, may I encourage you to get involved. You will sense greater community as you serve! We had ministry updates from many of our ministry areas in the church along with our pastoral updates. We have a very active church with a heart for people. Thank you to all who are involved and making a difference in their area of service. We continue to be thankful for the giving of those who attend. Ron Poetker, our treasurer, will give a bulletin and verbal update in December. Our Christmas Eve love offering will be split between Rose Garden Hospice and the ministries of the Salvation Army. We are grateful for both these local ministries that help with the vulnerable in our city. We are specifically in need of someone to lead a community group for young families. Please contact Pastor Liam if God is moving you to lead/host in this way. We have written and passed the job description for an Associate Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries which was sent out at the end of November. Pastor Agneshia will continue to service as our Pastor of Family Life Ministries until June or July of 2026. In His Service, Sharon Ardell, Board Chair BOARD UPDATE PRAYER REQUESTS As we are beginning the advent season, may the themes of the four advent Sundays - Hope, Peace, Joy, Love – be God’s gifts to you this season. Let us pray that our lives will be marked by these words as we go through this month and into the New Year. Those who find this season difficult whether it be because of losing a loved one, a broken relationship, estrangement from a family member or friend, geography, disappointment, failure . . .so many reasons people find December difficult. Let us remember to pray and ask God how we can encourage others in our prayers and service during this season. Our missionaries who are away from their extended families during this season. Our church programming/activities – that all we do would be purposeful in sharing the gospel and living out that gospel as we serve. Continue to pray for the children/youth in our church and in our community. There are so many voices shouting for their attention, trying to influence them to follow ideologies that don’t align with Biblical truth. Pray also for those young adults coming “home” for the holidays to be with family and friends in Prince Albert. May their time at home encourage them in their faith walk and be the break they need. Pray for our pastors as they balance personal and work life and ministry life. May they know the “joy of the LORD” in this season. Please pray for the December Sunday morning services: The Season to Start. . . with Peace - our Children’s program on Dec 7; The Season to Start . . . with Joy on Dec 14; The Season to Start. . . with Love on Dec 21; Christmas Eve on the 24th and Sunday morning on Dec 28. It seems that December brings many out who do not attend through the year. Please pray for their hearts – and ours- to be open to the voice of God during this season. Please be in prayer for the nominating committee which will be meeting in Dec to put forth names for eldership for our AGM in March. Please be in prayer for our Evangelistic Workshop Jan 9 /10 with Adam Driscoll, that God would grow in us the desire and urgency to share our faith realizing we have the Good News that our community so desperately needs. Pray for our leaders in our city and Prov/Federal Government. We are commanded to pray for our leaders (1 Tim 2:1-4): “I urge , then, first of all , that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. “ FOLLOW US Facebook / Instagram / Website / Church App

  • Mission & Vision | Prince Albert Alliance Church

Mission & Vision Who We Are Statement Of Faith Our Mission We are a community of people growing together in knowing God and making Him known. Ephesians 4:15-16, John 17: 26 We must not assume we can be an island in our faith. God is a relational God: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He has always existed in community. God desires us to join His community (John 17). Community encourages us and keeps us accountable as we walk through life together and as a result, personal growth in character and faith is fostered. Our purpose in growing together is to develop a spirit of self-sacrifice that is committed to the well-being of the other (1 Corinthians 13), whoever the other may be. We can only do this as we grow in knowing God: God the Father who personally welcomes us, through Jesus Christ, into His presence; God the Son – Jesus – the Living Word (John 1) and objective truth behind all reality; God the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live a life free from the bondages of sin and fear (Colossians 1:21, 22). As we live in community with God and others, we grow in our desire to make Him known, reaching beyond our walls and into the greater community. To see lives transformed through Jesus Christ in our church and community. - Romans 12:2 Our Vision Core Values We are committed to the following: 1. The Glory of the Triune God We love him wholeheartedly, worship him sincerely and seek passionately to complete the work he has given us to do. 2. The Authority of the Bible We adhere to our doctrinal statement as a summary of key truths from the Bible that we agree on as a family of churches. We affirm the ministries of preaching and teaching in order to understand, obey and apply the Bible to our faith and practice. 3. Christ-centered Living We lead believers into the fullness of the Spirit and faith in the all-sufficient Christ for healing and power to live holy lives of service. 4. The Church We love the Church universal and seek to plant and nurture healthy, transformational local churches as the means of building Christ’s kingdom and nurturing individual Christians. We minister on the basis of spiritual giftedness as essential to divine power and effectiveness. We encourage dynamic creativity resulting in diverse congregational composition, language and organizational structures in order to fulfill Christ’s desire to reach all people. 5. Lost People We allocate a disproportionately large amount of energy and resources to reaching lost people, discipling them to maturity in, and devotion to, Christ. 6. Missions We give priority to world evangelization. We give priority in our missionary activity to evangelizing those people who have had the least opportunity to hear the gospel, thus expediting the return of Christ. 7. Leadership We intentionally identify and train godly leaders. We affirm and empower our pastors; other credentialed workers and lay leaders, esteeming them highly in the Lord. 8. Strategic Cooperation We serve each other with humility and compassion. We create strategies, structures and policies that enhance local initiative and maximize cooperation in the accomplishment of our purpose. We develop strategic partnerships with those of like-minded message, mission, passion and purpose. 9. Social Responsibility We uphold Biblical justice. We minister to the poor and oppressed as ministry to Jesus himself We encourage and strengthen marriages and families. 10. Stewardship We view all our resources and possessions as God-owned and we use them with integrity, accountability and maximum effectiveness. We embrace faithfulness and sacrifice in the advance of Christ’s kingdom. 11. Prayer We do nothing until we pray.

  • Statement of Faith | Prince Albert Alliance Church

Statement Of Faith Who We Are ALLIANCE CANADA STATEMENT OF FAITH 1) God There is one God, 1 who is infinitely perfect, 2 existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3 2) Jesus Jesus Christ is true God and true man. 4 He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. 5 He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. 6 He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. 7 He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace. 8 3) Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, sent to indwell, 9 guide, teach and empower the believer, and to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. 10 4) Bible The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of people. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. 11 5) Sin Humankind, originally created in the image and likeness of God, 12 fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All people are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. 13 The destiny of the impenitent and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment, but that of the believer is everlasting joy and bliss. 14 6) Freedom From Sin Salvation has been provided only through Jesus Christ. Those who repent and believe in Him are united with Christ through the Holy Spirit and are thereby regenerated (born again), justified, sanctified and granted the gift of eternal life as adopted children of God. 15 7) Christian Living It is the will of God that in union with Christ each believer should be sanctified thoroughly 16 thereby being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to God, receiving power for holy living and sacrificial and effective service toward the completion of Christ's commission. 17 This is accomplished through being filled with the Holy Spirit which is both a distinct event and progressive experience in the life of the believer. 18 8) Healing Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil as taught in the Scriptures are privileges for the Church in this present age. 19 9) Church The universal Church, of which Christ is the Head, consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, and commissioned by Christ to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations. 20 The local church, the visible expression of the universal Church, is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together to worship God, to observe the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, to pray, to be edified through the Word of God, to fellowship, and to testify in word and deed to the good news of salvation both locally and globally. The local church enters into relationships with other like-minded churches for accountability, encouragement and mission. 21 10) Life after Death There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; 22 for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. 23 11) Second Coming of Christ The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal and visible. 24 As the believer’s blessed hope, this vital truth is an incentive for holy living and sacrificial service toward the completion of Christ's commission. 25 14. • Our Team | Prince Albert Alliance Church

Our Team Lead Pastor Mark Bergen Mark began his ministry at PAAC in September of 2010 after he and his wife, Sandra, moved to Prince Albert from Estevan. Mark was raised in a small community in southwest Saskatchewan called Leader. Sandra grew up in Southeast Saskatchewan on a farm in the Estevan area and they met in the middle at Bible College in Regina and have been in pastoral ministry since the early 90s. Mark enjoys the journey of being a lifelong learner in areas of preaching and teaching God’s word, and leadership. His greatest joy is seeing lives transformed by the Word of God and seeing others discover their life purpose in community. He has a servant heart to provide direction, care, and leadership to PAAC. Mark and Sandra love to travel and take road trips together. Some of Mark’s favourite activities are hiking, jogging, cross country skiing, camping, and fishing. Associate Pastor Liam Cowman Liam came to PAAC in 2025 after moving from Alberta. Liam and his wife Rhiannon met at Briercrest College and have one child. Liam organizes community groups and the worship ministry. He loves learning about spiritual formation and enjoys teaching others how to practice their faith. He is committed to leading others to live into the fullness of Jesus in every part of their life. Pastor of Family Life Agneshia Dixon Agneshia joined PAAC as Pastor of Family Life in September 2023, moving from South Africa where she was involved with Kid's Ministry for 10 years. She and her husband, Daniel, have been married since 2011 and have 3 children. Agneshia oversees all things Children and Youth at PAAC. In her free time, she enjoys running and being outdoors, and has recently proclaimed herself a plant person. Office Administrator Carla Olsen Carla started in the front office in October 2021. Prior to that she worked as an Educational Associate in elementary schools and tutoring English as an Additional Language. Carla speaks Spanish and has served in both Mexico and Thailand as a missionary. After returning to Canada, Carla joined the Young Adults group at PAAC where she met her husband, Donovan, and they were married in 2013. Carla enjoys learning about languages and cultures, doing crafts, and gardening! Office Administrator Trisha Poetker Trisha grew up on a farm outside of Endeavour, Sk. While attending Nipawin Bible College she met her husband and they married in June 2018, later welcoming their 2 children into the family. She began working at PAAC sometime in 2018 filling in as Office Administrator when the need arose, so when the job became available in Feb of 2019 she knew it was something she wanted to do. She began working at PAAC March 2019. Trisha most enjoys chatting with those that come into the office and getting to make things look nice and creating things to make PACC run efficiently. With two young kids, hobbies seem like a thing of the past but Trisha has found a liking for decorating cakes, which has/will come in handy for all the upcoming birthdays. Custodian & Maintenance Ralph Dyck Ralph grew up on a farm in Glenbush, SK, and first moved to Prince Albert in 1992, following three years of Bible college, to begin serving in Northern Canada Evangelical Mission’s printshop. While in PA, Ralph met his wife, Brenda, and together they raised two daughters. Family considerations were key in choosing to attend PAAC in 2012, and since then, Ralph & Brenda have found various ways to be involved in the ministry of this church. Ralph joined the PAAC Staff as custodian in December 2022 and still volunteers some time in NCEM’s printshop, where he served for 30 years.
